BCU co-hosted and participated in GovHack, won RunnerUp

2020814 – 16日,BCU World携手澳洲政府部门在BCU总部成功举办了GovHack这一项国际性的互联网赛事。BCU项目孵化组Go AirLinker代表BCU出赛,并成功取得了第二名的好成绩。

On August 14 - 16, 2020, BCU World partnered with the Australian government to host this international internet event, GovHack, at the BCU Head Office. BCU incubator team Go AirLinker represented BCU and successfully achieved the second place in the competition.

GovHack is an international competition for people of all abilities who seek to make life better through open data. Across one weekend, thousands come together to form teams, agree projects, submit work and participate in what has become one of the world’s largest open data competition.

BCU Core Concept of Open Data

Open data is data that can be freely used, re-used and redistributed by anyone - subject only, at most, to the requirement to attribute and share alike.

Government departments often hold large amounts of high-value data, and opening up this data would provide a huge boost to economic development. Because of these features, the GovHack competition chose to be set up at BCU Head Office.

The BCU Business Incubator is an organization created in response to this societal need to create space for small businesses to grow, to provide support for the development of all aspects of business through the sharing of open data, space and services, and to enhance the ability of businesses to survive and thrive.
